Our Founder created RugRunners based off the inspiration he had when he went back to his birthplace Liberia. It’s been over 20 years since his family took refuge in the US due to the war, and he finally had a chance to visit his home for the first time since he was 3. He’d always heard how privileged he was from his parents and relatives but seeing Kids walks countless miles for a education. Mud houses where people built with their bare hands, People have to use the beach as restroom because there is no proper sewage system for their counties. The lack of medical supplies in the hospitals and so much more. He had it when he saw a dead man on his last breath in the center of Monrovia, while thousands of others stroll by, he vowed that we all will make a difference.
“When you help others you encourage others to do the same.” – Founder of RugRunners
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.“ Acts 20:35
Mission
Rug Runners mission is to raise money to get medical supplies for hospitals in Liberia and around the world through selling beautifully sourced rugs and homeware items. 50% of our net profits will be gathered every month and donated to the MedShare Foundation, who has diverted over 17.5 million pounds of quality and unused medical products from local landfills.
Vision
Rug Runners vision is to show people that it is possible to make a difference in people’s lives with their regular purchasing behavior. We know there are already people that love to help the world and help others, but we want to encourage more people to do the same. Rug Runners want to show their customers that their purchase is going to a good cause (plus they’ll be getting cool rugs. Woo!)
